Malaysia 12th General Elections 8th March 2008
Tomorrow marks a very important date in Malaysian history and Saturday 8th of March 2008 kicks off the 12th general elections day for the country. Politics are boring perhaps to most of the youth in Malaysia. In fact the Election Commission statistics say that last year among Malaysia's 27 million people, about 4.9 million above the voting age of 21 years, 70% of them aged between 21 and 35 haven't registered to vote yet. Around 10.9 million people are registered voters but political researchers estimate that 25 percent of them will not cast their vote this year.
Yes most say that our votes won't make a difference and blah blah blah in many articles all over the internet but what if the 15 million people voted. What if? Fight for your right. Vote. Who do you vote for? What are you voting for? Why are you voting? Simple. Research. Take the initiative to go through manifestos from all parties available in Malaysia. It is important to know in depth about your country. In fact I even know some people of legal voting age asking who the president of Malaysia is?!?! LOL...come on!!! (FYI: Malaysia is a federal constitutional elective monarchy. The federal head of state of Malaysia is the Yang di-Pertuan Agong, commonly referred to as the King of Malaysia. We are politically led by a Prime Minister)
So...Decide for yourself. You make the choice. Make your vote count as a Malaysian. All in all here at skratchboarder.com we would just like to remind youths the importance of voting in general. We are not writing this article in favor of any party but just writing a general reminder and also to update on this historical event. If you haven't registered then make sure you do so for the future general election in 2012.

Basically a clubbing portal so you can know all the happening things going on around town on the daily so that you won't miss a party or favourite dj. With this site you can always hit the dancefloors at the best night clubs. Be it rave, hip hop, rnb, rock, electro, house, dance, retro, techno...it's all there. So all you music lovers should go check it out. And of course I'd still recommend juiceonline.com for all the latest events in town too. No skratch in there though...but I'm sure you all know that already by now seeing how our skratch scene is pretty dead over the past few years.

DJ Qbert comin' to Malaysia
Thx to DJ Viper for the heads up. I used to always hate mailing lists but then that's they're for...event updates! Anyways. QBERT sent out a newsletter recently stating his Pacific Rim Tour and one of the dates included our country Malaysia. He'll be comin' on Sat. December 15th Kuala Lumpur at Orange Dance Club(why here out of all places I thought it was dead already?!?!). And the address to Orange is 1 Jalan Kia Peng. Google map and u'll find it if you dunno how to get there. Dunno if it's a 21yrs above only party so you'll have to find out for yourself or make a fake id :P. So whoopie. He's finally comin' to showcase his flawless skratchin' and of course all on his dream toy the Vestax QFO. Ok now...where to get my media passes...
