Legendary Technics Turntable Discontinued???

Yea it's probably the biggest question being asked around the internet lately. I say just watch any updates @ http://www.skratchworx.com/news3/comments.php?id=1374 as Gizmo will have it first no doubt.

My take on this? It doesn't affect me at all. Yes it's the best deck ever made and hell everyone knows it's my personal favorite, but it doesn't mean that we can't push the boundaries just cos they set it. The 1200s are the lamborghini of turntables no doubt but this would be a great opportunity for a company to produce a better turntable if the 1200s were to just rest in peace. In fact I'm disappointed with Technics releasing the same crap on every newer model the past 37 years. At least add on some modern features or so. Make a stash box with an automatic fingerprint scan door or something at least come on. Ah well. There are a ton of other quality turntables out there by Numark and Stanton. If it happens it happens ya know. If it don't...so what?...
